how to be a successful site engineer?

Site engineer is generally the represents the connection rule between the executed site works and the drawing plans of any project, which means he is the mirror which reflects the drawn plans to executed work on the site with the help of the subcontractor.  If we are talking about site and executed works in the site, so the site engineer should be an experience person either in the structural or electrical or mechanical works he is executing. In this article i am going to talk about structural site engineer.

What is the minimum experience that a structural site engineer should have?
·         First of all he should have the ability of reading drawing plans whatever it is structural or electrical or mechanical excellently because he will be the first reference person for the details of drawings after the supervisor engineer.
·         He should know how to execute works whatever it is structural, electrical or mechanical and the equipment should existed in site to execute these works.
·         He should be aware of safety requirements for the workers in order to avoid any mistakes that could cause danger to them.
·         He should be a healthy person to reach every part of the site which he might need to climb a ladder or to walk on a scaffolding system that needs concentration and power from him.
·         He should have an experience in structural design encase of facing some structural design problems and that happens all the time when there is mistakes in the design.        
·         He should be a talkative person to play the rule of conveying the information successfully to the contractor and to deal with the supervisors engineers.
·         You should have experience in project management. 
How to be a successful site engineer?
To be a successful site engineer you don’t only need the above knowledge and experience, but also you need to program yourself to be able to do all these works together in an efficient way and to get use of your time properly. And here are some advices how to do that.
Firstly you have to study the plans carefully before the beginning of any activity in site, so don’t let the activity begin before you study it carefully and don’t be as a person who is watching the growth of the project and behaving in a reacting way toward any activity.
You have to be active all the time with a high spirit toward any difficulty to avoid any delay in the future, so how much it is frustrating sometimes, may be from weather conditions or some mistakes in works don’t give-up and make yourself believe that your project will delay any way that’s will not be healthy for you and for the project so behave as you still working on the modified time schedule that you should plan for it again.
Your relation with labors should be good all the time, so you don’t have to be so much strict and tuff or humble and too smooth you have to be something in between.
Now it is your rule to choose between to be a successful site engineer or to be just a name for a site engineer.
